CNG Cylinder type 2 - ISO 11439

CNG Cylinder type 2 is made from Metal liner reinforced with resin impregnated continuous filament (hoop wrapped).

The minimum pressure in which this type of cylinder must be able to withstand is dependent on the fiber material used with the following factors multiplied by the working pressure:
Type of fiber: Glass:2.75 Aramid:2.35 Carbon:2.35
The volume to weight ratio for this type of CNG cylinder is usually 1:0.7 for 200bar working pressure using Glass fiber (Eg. an empty 100liter cylinder volume would weight around 70kg)
